How many of you are excited that it's a new year and that means you get to have a fresh start?
I know at the beginning of every year, I get excited about what the new year will bring, I'll set my goals, work on my content calendar, and plan my marketing strategy.
Except for this year.
To be honest, I've been stopped because my packages and services are changing and because they are developing differently since I'm working with a new business coach (not so many webinars in Quarter one anyways), I feel at a lost.
However, I can tell you one thing: as I develop my own packages (and I'm working on that), you're going to be getting more quality content that actually is more about getting clients to your digital doorstep, making more money from your blog, getting your business seen and heard, and for you to market yourself in a BIG way!
But you know what that takes?
You sharing your story.
I know you're NOT sharing it because if you were, then you would not be here on my blog, now would you?
I sense that many of you are scared or hesitant to share your voice, your story, and your message because you might have thought one of the below:
My story doesn't matter.
I don't want to upset that person.
What will they think about me?
What backlash will I receive?
Is it worth it?
Today, I want to remind us that fear is the real enemy here and that we need to overcome it if we REALLY want 2020 to be the year that we succeed. And that might scare some of you.
So what do you do when fear rears its ugly head in your face and start sputtering off those nasty lies that you don't have the credentials or the know-how or that your story doesn't matter?
Here are three steps that I shared with my email list a few weeks ago and I wanted to share it with you because we all need to hear this from time to time.
1) It's not about you.
Our message or story is not about us. It's about others and how they find peace, healing, aliveness, or whatever else our story can bring them.
Nikki Novo puts it beautifully when she says, "You are a channel. A vessel. An instrument. The message is not your own. It’s just coming through you. Who are you to judge its form? If you’re receiving it, and you feel it, you have to deliver it."
You Have to Deliver It!
It is YOUR Responsibility to get your message out there to the world and when you don't, more people suffer. Do you want that?
If you say no, but are not sharing, then you're not serious about stopping the suffering, the cluelessness or the success of others. That's a tough pill to swallow, isn't it? But it's the truth.
If you are serious, then it's time that you get out there and share your story more than once a week or once a month, thinking that is all what people want to hear.
2) You're all we got.
You are the only one who can share the message and story that you have.
Did you know that because of YOU, your message could be the "one-degree shift" that can massively change how many people are impacted as well as interested in working with you on a personal basis all because of your perspective?!
I just read Holley Gerth's book, You're Made for a God-Sized Dream, and she kept repeating this over and over again in her book that I want to nail for you:
"You only get one shot at this world. And we only get one you. Make the most of your time here. Dare to dream. Dare to do. Dare to find out just how much God has in store for you."
Like I said earlier, you have a responsibility to share your message and we only have ONE you. You have ONE shot at this life.
How much longer are you going to sit, allowing day after day to go by without you sharing your God-given message or story to the world?
There is no one else and as Holley Gerth put it, there's no Plan B. You're it.
What are you waiting for?
3) Come from a place of love.
I believe when you have a message, one that can bring massive healing, peace, or change lives, it's critical to come from a place of love.
I hold a very unpopular opinion according to today's "standards" and I want to speak out all the time and point fingers and judge those who follow this standard because I know what harm it's doing to them and their children.
But I don't share or point fingers, even if I want to share this knowledge with the world. Why? Because I'm coming from a place of judgment and not from a place of compassion and pure education.
Once I can be okay with people's decisions and come from a place of educating and sharing, then I can step out and really begin to voice and share my story, thoughts, and opinions.
You have to come from that place, too. When you come from a place of love and compassion, you can share your message and if you receive backlash, you won't see it as "backlash", you'll see hurting human beings.
And you'll be 100% okay with those who are opposed against you because you know these people are not quite ready for your message.
And that's okay.
It's not about you.
It's about you getting your message out there because we only have ONE you, you only can share it from YOUR perspective, and when you come from a place of love, nothing can set you back, my friend.
Fear will ALWAYS be there. It's time to face it and see it for what it really is: an annoying little yappy dog who you can love (even if it's from a distance!).
If you need help getting over fear of sharing your story or message, then hit me up by going to the contact me page and filling out the form. I'll get it and respond back to you as soon as I can. Or you can head over to my Facebook Page, leave a comment or send a message, and we'll connect from there.
It IS your year to make an impact but the only way you're going to create that impact is if you share your message. I can help you, but it takes you reaching out and asking for help. I am always here.
Now, go light this world on fire.
