Bullet journaling.

Bullet journaling became quite popular last year and it’s still going strong today. It’s a wonderful way to let your creativity rise and shine through personalizing a journal for yourself.

I started to bullet journal in March 2018 after having my baby boy and I have been using it ever since.

If you are new to bullet journaling and been wondering what it’s like to bullet journal (and more specifically, for your business), then you have come to the right place.

I want to show you how I am using a bullet journal for my life and business to help fulfill my purpose, goals, and intentions.

What is a bullet journal?

First, you may be wondering what in the world is a bullet journal? In essence, a bullet journal is just a journal where you bullet your day, ideas, or goals.

The idea is to create a journal that is more personalized and creative, showcasing you and your own uniqueness along with it. A place to really shine and let that flow out of you!

You can create mood trackers, monthly calendars, day-to-day tasks, routines, money, self-care, and the list is endless.

How do I use a bullet journal for my business?

I mainly write my to-do list that I want to get done in my business inside of my bullet journal. I also have goals, Blog Ideas, intentions, and a “Parking Lot of Ideas” inside of my journal.

What benefits have I seen using a bullet journal?

One thing I have enjoyed the most about my own bullet journal is that if I need to write something down quickly or if I have an idea, then I have one place to put it. I can revisit this idea at any given time.

I have two Blog Idea sheets where I have written down my blog post topics, series, or whatever other content ideas I come up with. I can look back and see what I want to write about based on my marketing calendar.

The second thing I enjoy is my Parking Lot ideas. If you’re wondering what a Parking Lot is, it’s just a “parking lot” I drew where I place my future ideas on.

This has ranged from writing another book to starting a podcast to coming up with a new service.

I can look at that parking lot and see which idea I want to take for a spin first. If it doesn’t work out, I can “repark” it and take another “vehicle” for a spin.

The third thing I enjoy is I can write down any processes to creating something inside of my bullet journal. I have a process for webinars, selling my course (or ideas for it), and an acronym for BLOG that I came up with. This helps me to see my process in big and small parts and I can be as creative as I want with it.

Can I really bullet journal for my business?

Yes! From putting mantras throughout your bullet journal to blog post ideas to 30-day challenges to new freebie ideas, you can put it all in there! You can be as “boring” as you want or as creative as you like!

You can list out what is going to be inside of your online course or if you have a subscription service, what topics and content you’ll cover on which months.

For me, some days I am creative in my doodlings and other (and most days) I feel I am quite boring. I am on the just write it down and get it over with side. I don’t draw or doodle much. When I started I did, but not anymore.

It has helped me to see my own progress, have space to create and content topics for my blog posts.

My Final Thoughts

I think if you’re a creative being by nature and your work is done online, then get a bullet journal to satisfy that artistic side of you. It is fun when you’re in the mood to doodle or make something pretty on paper.

There are no limitations on what you can and cannot do, so it’s just up to your imagination to make your bullet journal unique to you.
